Throughout Texas, employment is anticipated to grow from 20,000 workers during 2006 to 23,700 workers by 2016, accounting for 3,700 additional jobs and an overall increase of 18.5 percent.

- Professional and commercial equipment and supplies merchant wholesalers - 2.31 percent
- Wholesale electronic markets, agents and brokers - 2.31 percent
During 2009, sales managers in the Houston area earned an average wage of $57.93 per hour, while those in Texas earned an average wage of $54.64 per hour and those across the country earned an average wage of $53.64 per hour.
